Marijuana and ecstasy use among U.S. high school students has increased since 2008, according to data from the 2010 Partnership Attitude Tracking Study. The percentage of high school students who reported using marijuana in the past year increased from 32% in 2008 to 39% in 2010. While the percentage of high school students reporting ecstasy use remains relatively low in comparison, there was an increase in use in recent years (from 6% to 7% between 2004 and 2008 to 10% in 2009 and
2010). Other indicators of marijuana and ecstasy use and related-consequences have shown similar increases in recent years (seeCESAR FAX, Volume 20, Issue 12 and Volume 20, Issue 3).
