Most individuals do not understand how you can get a panic attack from alcohol. Normally a glass of alcohol is used to help you relax and take the edge off of a long day. For most individuals alcohol does help to calm them in small doses but for others is can cause a problem and a panic attack can occur.

Now many people do not participate in moderate drinking, a lot of people do, but then a lot of individuals also over indulge and it is overindulging that can be the problem. Alcohol affects the body in many ways and it affects brain functions and your liver and kidneys as the liver is what filters the alcohol out of the blood stream.
Alcohol will stop your body from working at top performance because the minerals and nutrients you body needs will instead be moved to the liver to help it metabolize the alcohol faster. This is why you tend to have a hangover the day after drinking. Alcohol also causes dehydration and this is another cause of a panic attack or stress on your body.
The symptoms of a panic attack from alcohol are the same as any other form of panic attack and include trembling, fears, nausea, sweating, and many more. If you notice your panic attacks are occurring after you have had a bender then by moderating your alcohol consumption you will be able to stop these panic attacks.
If you’re suddenly short of breath and feel weak, you might be having a panic attack. People usually think they’re caused by trying to do a whole lot of things at once, but often it is when you step away to do something simple that you start to feel the attack come on. Your whole perception of the world changes and you’ll likely feel dizzy.
If you’re experiencing panic attacks on a regular basis, you should talk about them with your doctor. At the appointment, you will probably be asked a lot of general questions about your mental well being. You will talk about the various stresses in your life and if you’re having any problems sleeping. This information will be used for a diagnosis.
Many doctors believe that in order to suffer from panic attacks from alcohol you must already be susceptible to panic attacks. Then consuming alcohol only makes the panic attacks worse. Individuals that suffer from panic attacks tend to be effected by chemical change sin the body more then others. Therefore the chemical changes that occur when they are drinking will be more extreme.

If you are an alcoholic then you may feel that you need alcohol in order to function. However this is like any withdrawal and much of it is in your mind. If you suffer from panic attacks that are due to drinking then you need to look at how much you are drinking. Stop drinking for a while and see if this affects your panic attacks.
